ABOUT
Chilali was established in 2024, by Chilali Weller, after completing his double bachelor of design arts, majoring in fashion design and visual art at LCI Melbourne. Previously he studied the Associate Degree in Fashion Design at The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Garments and accessories are constructed in Melbourne Australia, using planet friendly materials and practices like hemp, cactus leather, recycled materials, deadstock designer fabrics, and biodegradable 3D printing (see Sustainability page for more details). Garments are constructed and sold as 1/1, made to order, and made to measure.
Chilali holds a strong emphasis on upcycling existing garments which are sold as 1/1 pieces, yet also inform new garment designs, which are constructed from scratch.
Chilali has released a range of accessories, buttons and embellishments, in collaboration with longterm friend and Melbourne based 3D print designer Bryce Dean, using biodegradable 3D print filament.
